LOOKING BACk AT THE SONGS THAT GOT ME HERE
“"As a writer, Bobby Cameron speaks from his soul. His music cuts to the heart of every emotion we've ever experienced. He not only writes great songs...he lives them. His writing is only matched by the compassion with which he performs. Bobby's incredible voice and song interpretation leaves you with one indisputable thought...'this guy can sing"” - Bob MacEachern President/GM 101.5 The Hawk
Blue As Could Be
Bobby Cameron
It all started when Bobby's close friend Darwin Leitch handed him a book called "Stevie Ray Vaughan: Caught in the Crossfire" written by Bill Crawford and Joe Nick Patoski. As soon as the last page was turned, Bobby put pen to paper and "Blue As Could Be" was born.
Drawing from song titles and the book's narrative, Bobby packs in a love struck baby's lifetime in 4:23.
"Blue As Could Be" takes you on a Telecaster ripping journey down the I-35 from Dallas to Austin where it all began for Stevie Ray. Full of guitar explosions, vocal power and grit, "Blue as Could Be" pays tribute to one of the world's greatest guitar slingers that ever lived.
This high energy track leads us and leaves us at Alpine Valley. The last show Stevie Ray would ever play and the last chopper ride out he'd ever take.
God bless the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan.
