I wrote this song many years ago and never did anything with it. It's called "The Way It Is."
The timing felt right now to cut it loose.

I've always been asked this question over and over. When am I going to release a blues track with just bass, drums, guitar and vocals? Stripped to bone and raw like it would feel live?

I'm hoping this is it. Nothing was overthought on this recording. Pinned to the wall from start to finish.

The lyrics speak of life's opposites that co-exist. One thing depends on the other to survive. I used a lot of crazy metaphors and similes to express that point. I pushed the envelope and the definition of Ying & Yang and had a ball doing it.
